About Omakase Tokyo Tour

I’m Kenji Sonoda, a Tokyo food guide with eleven years walking visitors through the city’s sushi counters. I grew up in Koto ward, a short walk from the Toyosu market. I started as a kitchen porter in a Ginza sushi restaurant before switching to guiding. Omakase Tokyo Tour is an independent guide to omakase in Tokyo — I compare the tours so you can book the right one at the right price.

What I do

I research the omakase experiences available in Tokyo, read through traveller reviews, and write honest, practical guidance on which tour suits which traveller. I’m not a tour operator and I don’t sell tickets — when you’re ready to book, I send you to GetYourGuide, a licensed reseller, to complete your booking.
